Jay-Jay in 2013 suggested “Maggie” (syn “Pacific”) http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.24291.1
be merged with ‘Maggie’ (bourbon, Geschwind, 1900) http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.4052.1&tab=1
I suggested in 2008 that “Pacific” http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.24291.1
be merged with ‘Mme. Eugene E. Marlitt’ http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.4052.1&tab=1
Neither Jay-Jay nor I have had an answer. I would like to tidy things up and merge these files within the next week if nobody has any objections.

Yes, these can be merged. In any case, there was no Geschwind rose named "Maggie". I would propose to change the entry to "Maggie" (syn. Eugène E. Marlitt).

There is an interesting sentence in 'The Rose Annual', UK 1981, p151. In this article written by Zeizo Suzuki on the Roses in Japan, he mentions: " 'Kakayanbara'. It grows in the subtropical zone". I have no idea whether 'Kakayanbara' is the same as 'Kakinada Red', but I seem to recall Warren Millington finding roses in the tropics.

This appears to be the same as 'Kakinada Red' an old rose found in India("Mystery Roses aound the world" pub: Rosa Mundi page 28). I have the two growing together and can find no difference

According to Peter Lambert and as a result of comparing plants, the rose 'Julius Fabianics de Misefa' is the same as 'Eugen E. Marlitt' / 'Eugenie Marlitt' / 'Eugenie John Marlitt' / 'Maggie'.*
Also is proven by genetic research in 2009 at the University of Montreal, that 'Pacific' (found rose from the Bahamas), 'Kakinada Red' and 'Zi Yan Fei Wu' (means: Foursided Mirror) fromTaiwan and Japan are the same as Eugenie Marlitt.*
*Rosenjahrbuch 2011 page 94-97. 'Maggie' / 'Pacific': http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=2.24291&tab=1 Might be merged with this Rose.
