Origin:
Bred by Henri Cayeux (Portugal, circa 1903).
Class:
Hybrid Gigantea.  
Bloom:
Yellow, carmine-pink shading.  Yellow washed with carmine.  Mild fragrance.  Medium, very double, borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form.  Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer.  Large, long buds.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Glossy, light green foliage.  

Height: up to 13'1" (up to 400cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.  
Breeder's notes:
Lusitania, from Souvenir de Leonie Viennot X R. gigantea. Flower large, very full, yellow washed with carmine; bud very long. Plant very floriferous. H. Cayeux, Jour. of Heredity (1929) at p. 307.
