Origin:
Bred by Dr. Felicitas Svejda (Canada, 1961).
Introduced in Canada by Agriculture Canada, Ottawa, Ontario (Central Experimental Farm) in 1968 as 'Martin Frobisher'.
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa.   (Series: Explorer Series Collection)  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Mild to strong fragrance.  25 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  

Height: 5' to 6' (150 to 185cm).  Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 2b and warmer.  Can be used for hedge.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .

The Swedish Rose Society recommends Martin Frobisher for northern Sweden.
