Notes:
Mary Ball Washington was the mother of George Washington, first president of the United States. She was born in 1708 and died on 25 August 1789 at Mount Vernon, Fairfax County, Virginia. In 1772, George Washington purchased a home for his mother in Fredericksburg Virginia. Mary Washington spent the last seventeen years of her life in this home, now called the Mary Washington House.
