I still have my original Scentimental from 1997. I have grown all of its replicas, like this one, and only Scentimental has stayed. Its not perfect, but its well-rounded and reliable.

All American Magic is in its second season in my garden. I think this rose is amazing, i love stripped roses and this one is so different from my others. The flowers on this rose can be red & white or yellow and red or even yellow and pink. I go out every morning just to look at this beautiful rose. The flower size is approx. 3 1/2 - 4inches in width, my bush is still young so the canes are not that thick, and i had to give it support. The bush over 5ft tall. This rose is winter hardy for zone 6 PA with no more than mulch protection needed. Very little winter dieback. Resistance to mildew and blackspotting. Stayin power on the bush and in the vase. One of my favorites!

Great description. What is the scent like? A local LA nursery lists it as strong, HMF states mild.

the bush did eventually got a strong scent, but it never got bulky, it remained small and thin and spiny, last year i replaced it with rock & roll. My neighbor has it now and it still remains small and spiny. I could have just gotten a dud bush, i didnt want to take a chance on another one.

Where did the information on the height if this bush come from? This is the only place I've seen it listed anywhere near that small.

Yep, my one year old plant is about 4 feet tall.

I am not sure who entered the original data, but I have made the corrections based upon the information in the Modern Roses 12 database.

Smiles,

Thanks for letting us know. This is the beauty of HMF - if HMF were a reference book an error like this would not be correctable (not without a lot of effort and whiteout) and could propagate to other references. Instead, HMF is a mutable resource, forever improving with feedback from users like yourself. Thanks again.
