Origin:
Bred by William Wells (United Kingdom, 1835).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1899 as 'The Garland'.
Class:
Hybrid Moschata, Hybrid Multiflora.  
Bloom:
Cream, pink shading, ages to white .  Moderate, musk fragrance.  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters, flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Large, glossy foliage.  7 to 9 leaflets.  

Height: 10' to 15' (305 to 455cm).  Width: up to 10' (up to 305cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.
