Bred by Jacques-Julien Margottin père (1817-1892) (France, 1860).
Introduced in Australia by Law, Somner Pty. Ltd. in 1886 as 'Boule d'Or'.

Golden-yellow, lighter outer petals.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, very full (41+ petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
