Introduced in United States by Thomas G. Ward in 1859 as 'America'.
Introduced in Australia by Robert Rattray's Rosebank Nursery in 1894 as 'America'.

Noisette, Tea Noisette.  
Bloom:
Cream, salmon-yellow center, ages to salmon-pink .  Mild to strong fragrance.  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Drought resistant.  heat tolerant.
