Origin:
Discovered by Peggy Martin (United States, 1989).
Class:
Found Rose, Climber.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Opinions vary fragrance.  Small to medium, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing, thornless (or almost).  

Height: 6' to 10' (185 to 305cm).  Width: 12' to 15' (365 to 455cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Can be used for garden, hedge or pillar.  Hardy.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. .  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Remove unproductive wood every third year or so.  
Breeder's notes:
"According to Peggy "I was given cuttings of the thornless climber in 1989 by Ellen Dupriest who had gotten her rose cuttings from her mother-in-law, Faye Dupriest. Faye had gotten her cuttings from a relative's garden in New Orleans...."

Notes:
This rose survived Hurricane Katrina in 2005, continuing to live in the salt water flooded yard of Peggy Martin in Plaquemines Parish, New Orleans. Chamblee's Rose Nursery acquired cuttings from the original rose in New Orleans in January, 2007. Proceeds from the sale of this rose by Chamblee's Rose Nursery will go to Zone IX Horticulture Restoration Fund to restore parks, gardens, and green space in New Orleans Read more about this rose:
