I bought a rose that was labeled as O'Rilla, but it's blooms are a dark rosie pink almost fucshia with yellow in the base. I'm wondering if it was incorrectly labeled since the color doesn't match the description on here? What ever it is it's absolutely gorgeous, I'd just like to know if it's really O'Rilla?

What you are describing doesn't sound like O'Rilla. The hybridizer of this rose is active at www.rosarianscorner.com. If you post a pic there, he'll be able to tell you if you've got O'Rilla.
Good Luck

I purchased an O'rilla from Wal-Mart this past spring and when it bloomed it was completely yellow, obviously not O'rilla, but I am not sure exactly what yellow it is. If you bought your plant from Wal-Mart this proves it could have been mislabeled as well as mine obviously was.

Certified had several Yellow roses out this year. I got 21st Century, Electra & Golden Age, see if one of them doesn't match your rose. BTW : I got a mislabled rose from them this year too. I called Certified and told them I wanted a replacement, which they sent and this time it was the correct rose.

I bought three bushes and two I had in containers died suddenly for some unknown reason. However, the bush in the ground did quite well and produced some very pretty blooms and the foliage stayed relatively clean with no disease. The bush didn't get overly large its' first year--only about 3 feet tall--but I think it will pick up next year. I mounded it well for winter so I hope it is hardy and makes it through the winter as I am anxious to see this one mature. My bush is now in it's second year and while the bush is staying rather small and compact, it is healthy with no signs of any disease or insect problems, and the blooms have a lot of substance and last a long time on the bush and in the vase for cut flowers. The color and bloom form are beautiful. I would like to have this on R.Multiflora rootstock to compare the bush size and vigor to whatever it is grafted on by Certified Growers.
