Origin:
Discovered by Francis Dubreuil (France, 1895).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1904 as 'Panachée de Lyon'.
Class:
Damask Perpetual, Portland.  
Bloom:
Pink, red stripes.  Moderate, sweet fragrance.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, flat bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Light green foliage.  

Height: up to 3' (up to 90cm).  Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
'Panaché de Lyon' in commerce is possibly mislabeled.
