Introduced in United States by Peony Gardens of George Hollis in 1904 as 'Gypsie'.

Hybrid lactiflora.  
Bloom:
Crimson - pink, golden-yellow center, buff edges, cream reverse.  Tyrian rose.  Mild, medicinal fragrance.  Medium to large, Japanese (anemone, imperial) bloom form.  Midseason.  
Habit:
Medium, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 2a and warmer.
