Same comment as others: continuous bloomer for me too. This rose is certainly underused, as it has at least two outstanding features : - it blooms later than most roses, and usually starts its show when most others finish their first flush - the foliage is absolutely gorgeous, and unique! Lush, light green, dense long/narrow leaflets make a wonderful background for the profusion of flowers. It is easy to grow, very floriferous and very healthy by me. Grown own root in slightly alcaline soil, zone 7b, full sun.

How hardy is this rose (to what zone)? I just ordered this rose for the spring. I'm in zone 6b/7a and want to figure out where in my yard to place it.
Also, the description here says light yellow blooms, but in the photos the buds look pink and the flowers white. Can you please tell me the true color? Thank you.

I have Princess Nassau in zone 7 and in partial shade. This rose makes a beautiful weeping bush with hundreds on icy white semi single flowers and blooms a long time. I would give this rose a place where it doesn't get the cold winter winds. It may die back but the rose is vigorous so it shouldn't die completely especially if you give it good protection the first winter. Here is a photo to show you the true colour.

Thank you for the information and the lovely photo. There is a semi-sheltered location near a fence in my back yard and I think the Princesse will be very happy there!

This rose has been one of the most continous bloomers I have. From Early spring and still covered with blooms. Certainly not a once bloomer for me.

I own a plant of 'Princess of Nassau' which has continually bloomed from the beginning of summer to the first heavy frost. It is placed on an east wall where it gets a goodly amount of light, and I don't think I have ever fertilized it In the 4-5 years I've had it. every book I have ever read about this rose has said that it only blooms once, but like I mentioned before it keeps putting the flowers on.

The Princess of Nassau is one of those roses that starts to bloom really late in the summer even as late as the end of July or into August. Then it will continue to bloom until it is stopped by cold weather. It would appear to only bloom once if it grew in a cold climate, because it is so late starting. In the warmth it would bloom much longer.
