Princesse de Nassau is a very distinct and good variety, very fragrant, and blooming in large clusters; the flower buds, before they open, are nearly yellow, changing to cream colour as they expand.

Two new Roses. I also send you two rose trees; the one is the R. sempervirens major, the flowers white and extremely double; the other is the Princesse de Nassau, obtained from seed in Paris, I believe, four years ago, and a hybrid between the Muscat and the Noisette roses, partaking most of the muscat. This last is also very double, from 2 to 2½ in. in diameter, and a little yellowish in the centre. I have sold it in this country for these two years past; it flowers abundantly from July to October and November. [...]

M. Vallet Comes annually to London with a stock of roses for sale; and among other fine sorts, he has introduced the following: -
....In February, 1828.- Mousseuse éclatante; très vive, pas extrêmement double, moyenne. De la Hogue; carnée, très grande et très pleine, hybride de centfeuille, et de Ròsa álba. Sophie de Baviere; presque blanche, moyenne, très pleine (R. álba). Bengal Darius; écarlate, très pleine, moyenne. Princesse de Nassau; hybride de Rose muscade et de R. Noisette, blanche, double, moyenne.

Prinzessin von Nassau, initially nankeen-yellow, double, then whitish 2 Gulden 30 Kreuzer.
These roses bloom from July to October in large clusters.

Rosa Moschata. Princesse de Nassau, Laffay. Rameaux géniculés. Feuilles rapprochées, à 7 ou 9 folioles. Pétiole armé, velu et glanduleux. Folioles ovales-lancéolées, velues en dessous, à bords ondés. Serrature inclinée. Bouton jaune soufre, marbré de rouge. Fleur moyenne, très-multiple et très-odorante, jaune soufre avant le parfait épanoissement; devenant blanche. Styles mombreux, filiformes, très-saillants, ordinairement réunis, mais sans adhérence, et se divisant par l'effet de la pression exercée sur le sommet de la colonne. Pétales 40 à 50, spatulés, arrondis avec une pointe au sommet. Fleurit en août et septembre.
