Origin:

Bred by Francis Dubreuil (France, 1887).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1892 as 'Princesse de Sagan'.

China / Bengale, Tea.

Bloom:

Crimson, dark purple shading, dark red highlights. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 2.75". Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped, scalloped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long sepals, long buds.

Habit:

Short, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, upright.

Height: 31" (80cm). Width: 2' (60cm).

USDA zone 7b through 10b.
