Origin:
Bred by Magnus Johnson (Sweden, 1955).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Guernsey Clematis Nursery in 1991 as 'Albiflora'.
Class:
Alpina Group, Atragene Group, Early Small Flowered, Group 1.  
Bloom:
White.  4 petals.  Average diameter 2".  Single, bell-shaped bloom form.  Mid-to-late spring, late summer.  
Habit:

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b.  Can handle north-facing, cold sites.  Plant in soil that drains well.  Plant in sun to encourage flowering.  Suitable for growing in a container.  Shape or tidy up the plant AFTER flowering is finished.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.
