Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, 1981).
Introduced in South Africa by Ludwig's Roses in 1999 as 'Helen de Waal'.
Class:
Floribunda, Grandiflora, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange blend. [Salmon-orange.]  None / no, mild, tea fragrance.  44 to 51 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Medium, large, double (17-25 petals), very full (41+ petals), button-eye, cupped, globular, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, upright, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, semi-glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
