Sean McCann. ....There aren't many new trial grounds opened these days.....Nevertheless 1981 saw the completion of the first trials at the beautiful St. Anne's Park in Dublin.... St. Anne's began life as the home of the Guinness brewing family, and there is a rose planted just by the entrance that is called 'Souvenir de St. Anne's'. It is a sport of 'Souvenir de la Malmaison' and was found growing here a few years before it was introduced in 1950.

Of particular interest to local rosarians is the featuring in the rose garden of the Malmaison hybrid rose 'Souvenir de St. Anne's' which was originally produced in the garden about 70 years ago.
