Harry H. Hazlewood. Some New Roses for 1955.
Described as first of a new race of Shrub Roses, Wilhelm Kordes has produced Sparrieshoop, which is listed as a Hybrid Rubiginosa. It is a tall bush with healthy foliage and very free blooming once it is established. The blooms are produced in clusters and carry single flowers, suggestive of 'Dainty Bess' in colour and size. It is a most attractive and interesting variety.
