Bred by Madiot (France, 1814).
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Red.  None to mild fragrance.  Double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  7 to 9 leaflets.
