I had same problems like other comments when I start grows this rose two year ago in container. But I realized that foliage is perfectly fine in winter-spring time and prone to mildew from late spring. I just igore this bush then left under the shaded area. Lately I don't see alot of mildew on it, plant is not much vigor but produce quality bloom with visible green shade.

This plant needs hot and dry weather. It needs the sun to grow big and vigorous like most Florist Roses---which this one is.

I have grown this for a number of years now, and I have concluded that the blooms are practically immortal. They could be used in dried flower arrangements.

Holds up well in the heat. I find that a partly shaded location is best for this rose in my area.
Im surprised there's no mention of fragrance. It has ( to my nose) a strong clear tea fragrance.
