June 6, 2022. One year old. Same plant viewed from opposite direction (note the location of the flowering almond in regards to PA) one day later. Direct from David Austin. Surprisingly healthy- no powdery mildew, slight black spot (she's young though) and will get cercospora spot in autumn. So far I find the blooms slightly scented most of the time. This past Autumn, there were occasions I picked up a moderate, sweet, old rose fragrance. Plant blooms often, but hasn't built much height yet. I'm hoping those roots are getting busy! Acceptable winter hardiness and rebound so far. Z5b/Sunset 41 South Central Michigan
