Bred by Eugène Verdier fils aîne (France, 1865).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'John Grier'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Deep pink.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, globular, rounded bloom form.
