Bred by Cheryl Netter.
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Purple and violet-red, deep pink mottling.  None / no fragrance.  Average diameter 3.5".  Semi-double to double, open bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Medium, armed with thorns / prickles, bristly , dense, suckers on its own roots, upright.  Dark green foliage.  

Height: up to 3' (up to 90cm).  Width: up to 5' (up to 150cm).
Growing:
Hardy.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  This rose blooms on old wood.

Notes:
Per Paul Barden on the Rose Hybridizers Association Forum: "Cheryl listed this many years ago as a selfing of 'Alain Blanchard' and I believe you can safely list its pedigree as such. As one would expect, it is a once-bloomer, with 3.5" blooms in clusters of three (on average) and grows to no more than 4 feet tall, suckering modestly and relatively slowly. It was offered briefly by Rogue Valley Roses, but it seems to have been removed from Janet's inventory now, probably because she hasn't been able to propagate it. (Although it is much easier to root than its parent)"
