Introduced in Japan by Yokohama Nursery Co., Ltd. in 1893 as 'Azuma-kagami'.
Introduced in France by Auguste Dessert in 1906 as 'Adzuma-kagami'.

Hybrid suffruticosa.  
Bloom:
Scarlet - crimson.  Average diameter 12".  Very large bloom form.  Late midseason.
