Bloom:
Deep purple blended with red and pink. Strong, damask, old rose fragrance. Average diameter 3". Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, flat, quartered bloom form. Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium, rounded buds.
Habit:
Medium, arching, armed with thorns / prickles, climbing. Medium, matte, light green foliage.
Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm). Width: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).
Growing:
Can be used for pillar or shrub. Hardy. vigorous. a good subject for pegging. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. can be grown as a shrub. can be trained as a climber. drought resistant. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot . Needs little care; relatively disease-free and quite hardy.
Breeder's notes:
Almost looks bi-colored. In spring new leaves tend to be multi-colored. Very heavily armed with prickles. Might be good to discourage unwanted strangers to enter Your garden... It grabs You!
