Bred by Ralph S. Moore (United States, 1956).
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1961 as 'Bit o' Sunshine'.

Class:

Miniature.

Bloom:

Butter-yellow. Occasionally up to 30 to 40 narrow petals. Moderate, tea rose fragrance. 18 to 20 petals. Average diameter 1.5". Small, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Small, leafy sepals, long sepals, long, pointed buds.

Habit:

Short, bushy, well-branched. Semi-glossy, medium green foliage. 5 leaflets.

Height: 1' to 15" (30 to 40cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

The variety was originated by me in my nursery in Visalia, Tulare County, California, as a seedling resulting from a cross of Copper Glow as the seed parent, and un unnamed seedling (Carolyn Dean X Tom Thumb) as the pollen parent.
