'Miranda Lambert ™' rose Reviews & Comments

I agree with everyone when I saw this for the first time, it struck as some OGR, flat-topped, super full bloom that had that "bluish" tint, meaning mauve.
Huge bush bought at Walmart for a really good price, we bought two. Lost ALL leaves to Blackspot within the month, I am treating this time hoping resistance is better when established. I don't spray for BS normally because i will tolerate it on the lower 12" of a plant that for the most part is well-established and has most of its leaves without BS. There are a handful of roses that never seem to develop resistance, Henri Martin is one for me that seems particularly bad. We will see what ends up happening with Miranda Lambert!

A large flat of this rose arrived at Home Depot today.
It is not deep pink! It is MAUVE! They looked gorgeous. Huge, very full, very fragrant blooms on fat plants. The color was somewhere between Melody Parfumee and Gypsy Blood, or other some such OGR that is purple-pink.
So, yeah, it is not generic deep pink. These arrived from California, I think. So I dont know their health, or how climate affects scent. But they looked super nice there.

Strong fragrance? Or fragrance is faded away when bloom is open? Not sure, but surely fragrance of this rose is not as good as fragrant cloud, Dolly Parton, New Zealand, pope John II etc... Also poor repeat , plant is vigorous and tall without producing much flower buds. I felt like growing wild rose.
