The parentage given, Rosa rugosa x 'Sombreuil' is very doubtful. Flowers: loosely semi-double, white, slightly blush-tinted in the bud. 6' x 5'

Cochet-Cochet claimed that the 1891 'Blanc Double de Coubert' was a cross between Rosa rugosa and 'Sombreuil', but few authorities have believed him; it looks to be pure-bred R. rugosa. Balls in wet weather. No hips. Repeats. Fragrant.
