Bred by Jean Desprez (France, circa 1834).
Class:
Gallica / Provins, Hybrid Bourbon, Hybrid China, Hybrid Gallica.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, carmine-red center.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 3".  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.
