Class:
Group 3, Late Large Flowered.  
Bloom:
Red, purple shading, white stamens, light yellow anthers.  None / no fragrance.  6 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Medium, single bloom form.  Late spring to early autumn.  
Habit:

Height: 5¼' to 5'11" (160 to 180cm).  Width: up to 32" (up to 80cm).

Latin name of the genus and species: Clematis jackmanii.
In 1982 the inventor, Aili Kivistik a citizen of Estonia, organized a group of unnamed, unpatented Clematis jackmanii varieties for an open pollination breeding project. Seeds originating from this open pollination were planted out, and the new variety was selected in 1985. Specific parents of the new variety are unknown, as the seed was bulk collected, without noting the variety collected from. All work was conducted at a non-commercial nursery in Roogoja, Estonia.
Notes:
Parentage in recent patent deviates from earlier statements. The breeding program was led by Uno Kivistik unti his death in 1998.
