We call this Hakone Star, because Hakone is the mountainous town in Japan , west of Tokyo, from where Mt Fuji can be viewed, and which is home to the rose species, Rosa hirtula. This species is sometimes grown like rose trees! We have visited this area and seen the species growing, in the town and in the Hakone Wetland Botanical Garden .
