Here is a typical bloom of Rosa rugosa held up to my own hybrid of Rosa rugosa with Rosa glauca. There were two color types among these F1.This is the lighter-flowered type. Note the relatively glaucous, "blue-spruce" colored foliage that it inherits from the pollen parent.
