From 1926 series of Wills's cigarette cards (No 11)
Also No 55 in 1913 series. Text on reverse of card:

EXCELSA.
(Wichuraiana.)
Called by some the scarlet Dorothy Perkins, to which name it is justly entitled. It is very vigorous, and produces large pyramidal trusses of bloom during July and early August, and is undoubtedly the best red climbing rose of its type in existence. Requires very little pruning and will grow in almost any soil or situation. Introduced in 1910.
