Newly planted bare root rose in its first flush of bloom. I like the way the blooms are very cupped prior to opening--gives a very romantic look! Plus the petal effect seems somewhat bi-color, at least in the photo. We have had a very wet spring, with little sun. Perhaps this contributes to the bi-coloration? The Knock Out series of roses has become so widely-grown as landscape plants that we barely give them credit anymore, but they are such tough, rewarding, trouble free plants that give back to us again and again....
