2013 Flush - Older Own Root acquired in 2009

Embarrassing to show hideous garden - but thought this photo may be a good comparison that America climber seems happiest and most abundant in blooms as a pegged rose? Because tons of rabbits killing young canes, fencing is always required in my locale if one grows non-knockouts. Whenever I have the chance I try to peg or force the roses to drape to help camouflage the ugly mesh. I use thin vinyl coated wire to "thread the canes laterally in increments.
