The colour is looking very different from the one that grows in our garden. Different soil; different climate???
I only know it with this colour: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.255181

Heat Wave coloration - looked like the one you posted two weeks ago, and will mostly look like that until mid-July, when our summer arrives. The color of these is the norm from mid-July to mid-November, and is common till January, often described as magenta or hot pink.

How often do you get 90°F/32°C or hotter temps after a cool night? We went close to 40° the day before these were taken. Don't you have one of those continental climates where night temps are just fall-off from the day and track its warmth closely unless a new front comes through, or does the North Sea set the rules? We have a true cool-night smell-the-ocean climate.

I'll have to note how much heat it takes to depurple 'EbbTide,' but I suspect about 30°C will do it.

California's central and southern coastal valleys usually have the climate of Devon at night and early morning but Bakersfield's from mid-day till sundown, 80% of the time the marine layer controls the climate.

The major exception from the above is the Santa Ana wind that blows out of the Death Valley region and brings most of our Heat-Stress (over 30°C) days, usually just one or days at a time, but we get from twenty to forty of these very hot days every year with temps from 90°F to 112°F. A big delta between day and night temps yields the most lurid color, unbroken heat tends to just make them paler and less blue.

Today a storm out of the Gulf of Alaska is bringing colder temps, today will top out at 59°F/15°C and tonight will go down to about 45°F/7°C. For comparison, 15°C and 9°C are the average daily lows for August and February, our hottest and coldest months for nights, so for us this is real chill.

'Ebb Tide' is covered with buds and I should have some nice purple pix soon.

The North-Sea and the "Wadden Zee" are mostly influencing our climate, but at the place I live, sometimes in the summer- and winter-season eastern winds prevail and the land-climate too!
But there can be changes from 30°C to chilly nights and even in the summer-months (june and august) night-frosts are uncommon, but possible.
And I had (just once) this strange combination: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.235936
I'll look forward to some more of Your photo's of Ebb Tide.
