"Dagh" means mountain and "Chatyr" means tent (from the shape of the mountain). Hence it would be called the "Tent Mountain Rose". My friend, Michael Tallman proposed this humorous homophone to pronounce Rosa tschatyrdagi: "Rosa shot-her-doggie"! Chatyr Dagh is nicknamed the "Swiss Cheese Mtn." because of the multitude of beautiful caves it contains.
