I was guilty of neglecting this rose on the west side of my Tampa yard, but this spring I finally pillarized it, fed it, and did a better job of watering it in my hyper-xeric yard and it promptly blessed me with two gorgeous blooms. My monster in my Denver yard took my breath away every June, and made many a visitor forgive "once bloomingness" once they saw and SMELLED it! I plucked one of these two blooms to use as a pollen parent, and the other has made a nice fat hip just like in Denver. Since in Denver it was seed parent to my hybrid 'Four Inch Heels" I plan on breeding with it here in Tampa as I truly adore this rose and have since the early 90's.
