Green Rose  rose photo courtesy of member oldNugly

The first bud appeared July 28, 2004 it opened Aug 5,2004 and full bloomed Aug 8, 2004.
The name is simple it is The Green Rose its origin is from China.
I am not sure when it arrived in the United States but it has been a recent arrival.
The bush is of a florabunda, many blooms on a stem,
the petals are soft and velvet to the touch, they are many and have a narrow shape,
which would remind one of spear tip.
When in full bloom the petals open to display a three dimensional circle of narrow flat,
sharply pointed spears that burst up to the heavens,
they appear to be reaching up for an unexpected touch.
The soft grassy green color closely matches that of the foliage around it,
as if it is hiding from the anticipation of being discovered.
The stems display a sparsely spacing of sharp thorns !
and the aroma is that of Myrrh, not sweet nor is it overbearing, but a palatable aroma.
