The Flower Fields is actually a working farm in Carlsbad. Their primary product is ranunculas. Every year from the beginning of March through Mother's Day the hillside is ablaze with a beautiful rainbow of colors. There are also many special events during this time. The rose garden was planted in 2001. It has three sections. The first is The Christopher W. Greenwood Walk of Fame with all the AARS winners since its inception and the second is the AOE winners garden with many of the winners. After the Flower Fields close the rose garden is accessible by going through the Armstrong Garden Center and is open every day.
