A rather full looking bloom with its center obscured by a rogue petal. This rose is usually open-centered. It is quite fragrant and its name is fitting as the petals drop with the slightest disturbance. In the past, I've missed taking more than one photo of its blooms because as I was about to snap it, I would see an orange cat tail slide by, knocking off the petals of the rose! This photo taken April of 2011.

Poulsen's Pearl in Anderson, California in May 2009. An own-root band, this plant is less than two years old and has only been in the ground for about a year.

My Poulsen's Pearl in Anderson, California, April 2009. Purchase of this rose was inspired by the one I saw at the Sacramento City Cemetery in 2007. That one was gleaming in the sun and laughing at the heat. I had to have it...and now I do.
