My husband and I garden on an acre and half in northeastern Ohio, growing everything from veggies to Old Garden Roses. We are just addicted to their beauty and above all, their out of this world heavenly fragrance. We have about 24 different varieties so far (some are just wee little starters, though). It seems like our goal is to eventually have no more lawn to mow....we keep digging it up to plant more:) Our 2 year old is developing quite the green thumb too...this year she has her very own first garden, full of colorful annuals. Start 'em young!
Hubby manages a berry farm after 15 years in the landscaping and greenhouse industry, while I am a stay at home mom to our munchkin after 7 years of greenhouse work. I graduated from Cornell University in 2001 with a B.S. in Plant Sciences.
We are always looking for cold hardy OGR's to grow, since, alas, so many of the truly lovely OGRs just can't take our bitter winter weather. If you have any cuttings to share, please do contact us, we would love to share some of ours with you:)
