My garden has been divided into 12 different sections, one for each month of the year. In the october section there are 50+ roses. The June section is full of Magnolias and Aloes. August section is full of trees with beautiful autumn leaves like Gingko and Lirriodendron etc. It is on the side of a hill with lots of big trees and ponds.

In total there are more than 80 roses in the garden. The 'blues and purples' are what I'm "questing". Ended up with lots and lots of pinkish purplish roses.

What attracts me the most though, is their perfume - the world's best anti depressants.

In short, I am a collector/hoarder rather than a landscape artist, and every available space is filled up with 'gotta have'.

One of my most prized plants is a huge pepper tree, one of twelve that was supposedly planted by Mahatma Ghandi, when he lived in our "kasi"('hood').

Johannesburg is the biggest planted forrest in the world and like The Great Wall of China, it is discernible from space.
