Dark-red blooms are W.S. 2000, wonderful old-rose scent that becomes stronger as the own-root matures. Rippetoe .. it has intense grape and red wine scent. So delicious !! This unknown red rose is one of the most fragrant roses in my 110 own-root varieties, only Comte de Chambord can rival it. Very hardy red-rose, survived 5+ winters below -20 F. Light yellow is Tchaikovsky (bloom well in 4 hours of sun), the scent is yummy sweet candy. Lowest right is Big Purple (takes full sun well). Uploaded 27 JUL 17

Dee-lish smells like a guava & strawberry shortcake in my alkaline clay, but magnificent Old Rose in neutral-potting soil. Pink Evelyn is my best bloomer in alkaline clay, after Crown Princess Mag (orange), Poseidon (blue), and Lagerfeld (lavender) ... these are continuous bloomers, rather than separate flushes. 1 favorite vote. Poseidon is darker blue, lasts up to 5 days in the vase if picked in bud. Lagerfeld is whitish-blue, and lasts 3 days in the vase. Red is Veteran's Honor, lasts more than 5 days in the vase, with a cherry-scent in my alkaline clay. Uploaded 21 JUL 17
