Thanks for the info. you gave. I'm in zone 5a and appreciate your info. when I make my list for 20 roses for next year. Your garden looks absolutely gorgeous. Clematis, peony, and rose are my favorites too.

you have some great Clematis how come they do so well in Billings? Have been there but don't remember much about the weather it was a long time ago

Thank you, I don't know why clematis grow so well here. Not a lot of help am I? I knew zero about them and made a lot of mistakes when first growing clematis. They thrived dispite me.

Thanks Robert, I'm getting comments for our roses posted slowly but surely. I believe there are reports on about half so far. I sometimes wonder if they are of any use to anyone outside Yellowstone County, Montana. Your comment provides motivation for me. I have admired your roses for a long time.
