A move from 40 acres in the country to a village lot has given me the opportunity to fine tune my collection of roses and perennials and create a garden that will be more easy care going forward. Begun in the late fall of 2012, this garden is still a work in progress although I now have all the beds well defined and most of my favorite plants in place. I also have moved up the cold hardiness zone a notch, from zone 4 to zone 5, owing to my nearer proximity to the big Lake Michigan.
