The Garden of Roses of Legend and Romance is nearly 3 acres of Old-fashioned roses. Originally planted in 1970 the rose garden consist of approximately 1500 plants representing about 500 different varieties. Some of the varieties are very rare and cannot be found in many other places. The gardens purpose is to preserve and study old fashioned roses and to give visitors the opportunity to enjoy them. The Garden is full of blooms and is at its prime usually in the first part of June.
