Tom has an MS degree in Agriculture, with an emphasis on plant flowering systems and their relationship to allergy. He is a former horticulture teacher, landscaper and nursery owner. He was host of the popular show, "Tom Ogren's Wild World of Plants", on Minnesota Public Radio. Allergy-Free Gardening, Ten Speed Press, is his third published book. Tom now lives with his family in San Luis Obispo, California.
