[From Les Amis de Roses", 4. trimester 1963, p. 32:] M. Eric BOIS Ancien chef des Services des parcs et promenades de la Ville de Genève, Rédacteur en chef de la Revue Horticole Suisse depuis 1928. Décédé le 20 Septembre 1963 dans sa 72ème année. C'est à Eric Bois, comme aux dirigeants de l'horticulture genevoise que l'on doit l'institution chaque année du Concours International de la rose nouvelle, dont Eric Bois fut jusqu'il y a deux ans, le président et dont il était président d'honneur. C'est aussi lui et ses services de la rue de Lausanne qui conçurent et exécutèrent l'admirable roseraie du parc La Grange.
